The Steelers and Political Correctness

I'm still recovering from the near disaster at Heinz Field Sunday.  After the Steelers chalked up 28 points to 7 against the Chargers in the first half, they apparently decided to level the playing field and allow San Diego to score three touchdowns in the second and put the Chargers within seven points of winning an upset, before finally winning by 10 points.  Was it a moment of guilt over "Social Justice" or were they just embarassed by their sucess?  Who did the Steelers think they were at that moment?  The Obama administration negotiating with the Islamic government of Iran?  Did they suddenly want to become a bunch of Beta males?  Or was it all that feminizing pink on some of the gloves, uniforms and on the sidelines to "raise awareness" of breast cancer?

It was even worse outside of Heinz Field and across the Allegheny, where the fountain at the Point was spouting pink water into the air and polluting the football atmosphere during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  We are all very aware of breast cancer and political correctness, we don't need a whole month cast in pink to remind us of its effect on woman, and even some men (including Montel Williams,  a man and a Marine, who came down with the illness and overcame it).

There is enough time to waste for liberal awareness to point out the obvious.  The Weathermen Underground of the 60's supposedly took their name from  the line "You don't need a weaterman to know which way the wind blows" in a Bob Dylan song.  If that was the case, they are, along with other liberals, the most useless of people, for pointing out what everyone already knows.  The Left has been blowing the same way for decades, without being honest about who they ultimately are by the nature of their disingenuousness.  They took their name most likely from Uncle Joe Stalin.  Stalin's last "real" job before becoming a professional communist revolutionary (that is, a professional parasite on society) was working as a weatherman at a meteorological facility.  So were the Weathermen just aspring to be little Stalins while not being honest about it? We are now inundated enough, to the point overkill, with liberal busybody excess on TV and radio with leftist pronouncements.  Even Gov. Grendel has done a commercial telling us plebians to sneeze into our hands or the fold of our arm to prevent the spread of Swine flu.  Ever heard of tissues, Grendel?  You're probably still hunting for dangling chads.

This all brought to you by the proponents of Duh!

There is also time for unbridled competition in football and life. The Steelers overcame the effects of liberal bombast, the shock of losing to the Bungles or whatever was giving them problems, in time to come back and win the game by a good margin.

As there is no crying in baseball, there should be no fluff crap in football or life.

G-20 Loon Review

A quick update.  Pittsburgh's still standing, downtown clear (of business).  I was downtown and didn't see many demonstrators.  The biggest gathering of people were about twenty young Chinese tourists wandering around seeming to wonder what all the fuss was about. This was nothing compared to what happened in Beijing twenty years when the Chinese were demonstrating for freedom.  There were a lot of buses and military vehicles and personnel, but no one stopped me as I walked around visiting friends.  There were people on the street going to and from their work from the Blvd. of the Allies to Penn Avenue.  The demonstrators were on the other side of the Lawrence Convention Center in the Strip District and Lawrenceville and I didn't see them.  I heard on the radio that there were only about a thousand demonstrating along with their ACLU lawyers making fools of themselves.  But they were outnumbered by bystanders with cameras watching and photgraphing some passing side show.  After the 9-12 Tea Party in Washington the G-20 demonstrators were only  smattering of pathetic spoiled brats and burned out 60's refugees.  I was in town on Wednesday and saw some of the gray haired rejects from forty years ago wandering around and looking lost and apparently still suffering from the effects of the bad brown acid at Woodstock.  The vitality is now on the right, so do not be discouraged, we are winning.

Tax & Fraud, a Twist of Ear Marks and the Strangulation Ligature

We are now to be taxed for a fraud, for even breathing.  We will be allowed to trade carbon credits, while wearing respirators, so as not to offend.  Under one section of the bill, the least industrious will receive direct deposits from government theft from the most industrious and America will suffocate even more.   The Stimulus Bill (the Strangulation Ligature) and the new budget are already constraining our country.  Starting today, Obama will start pulling our soldiers out of Iraq, so the Iraqis can stand on their own feet.  We can do as well, without being occupied by these new laws and the pending one.

The count in the House was close, but we lost by seven, as eight Republicans voted for the carbon tax and forty odd Democrates sided with the Republicans against it.  In both cases, it was for political expediency and according to each representative's political calculus.  The forty odd had voted earlier, along with all the other House Democrats, for the Stimulus Package and the Ear Marked Budget.  They didn't read any of them.  The ramifications of Tax & Fraud were obvious, but they ignored the vagaries and penalties in the Strangulation Ligature and the earmarks in the budget.

William F. Buckley stated "Conservatism is standig astride history and shouting "Stop!""  On the Fourth of July this year, it's our right to do just that and the Shill Du Jour can help.

Now how does that help us stop Tax & Fraud in the Senate?  Harry Reid says it doesn't have a chance to pass in the Senate.  Sure, and he had nothing to do with those land deals.  Hannity has just the thing to stop Reid and company.  He played a tape last Friday of Obama explaining, during the campaign, the effects of the new tax on energy costs.  The Heritage Foundation or the RNC needs to change it into a commericial and play it during the evening news and the most popular shows on TV.  We can then reach many of the lost souls in the middling middle and tweak the Left.

If the alphabet networks refuse to play it, site them for violating Obama's First Amendment Right to Freedom of Speech and add that fact to the commercial.  Why deny his insight during a rare moment of honesty and fluidity, as we share it with the great unwashed he supposedly champions?  At the end of the commercial, we inform the people their representatives didn't even read the bill, it was still being written and a copy of it wasn't provided to be reviewed by the people or the members of the House during the vote.

Play the Obama comments as a theme at the Tea Parties on  Saturday, sharing the stage with the pending Health Care Rationing & Elderly Genocide. The Left tries to beat us to death with our own virtues, when they don't allow the distribution of their own smoking guns.  We now have a smoking gun we can use to pistol whip them.  And don't overlook the rich vein of recorded gaffes from the Vice President and the gibberish of the Press Secretary.  They can serve as comic relief.

Obama Goose Stepping His Way to Socialist Europe

Trying to outdo Castro & Chavez, Dictator-in-Training Obama is taking a 500 person posse to the G20 meeting in Great Britain.  Exactly how big is the carbon footprint his jack booted entourage is going to unleash on the fragile environment with this maneuver?  Will he ever be held accountable for the logistics of transporting this army of supporters and bureaucrats by jet airplanes?  How many animals and plants will die from the change to the environment from the burning of fossil fuels?  Will he have to pay special indulgencies in the future under his new cap and trade tax?  Hell no. Is this all for personal protection against the leftist protestors, Great Britain's answer to Thugs for Hire outside the supposed economic summit?

What is he trying to accomplish?  I think he actually wants to invade the Republic of San Marino.  It should be an easy fight.  San Marino is notable for having the smallest army in the world (an 11 man honor guard without liberal cuts in defense) and is the oldest surviving republic in the world.  Perhaps he's going to make an example of San Marino, to keep the other republics of the world in line.  He's already doing a good job cowing the Republic of America.

He and the rest of the elite jerks on the left can do whatever they like.  We are now to be entertained by the goofy clowns of political idiocy like Barney Frank telling all of us what we can earn.  It seems every day is April Fool's Day for small minded Barney. Well, we are not laughing, nor are we amused by the mounting bills we will have to pay the rest of our lives for the fools in the government to strut their stuff.

You are not the the entrenched leadership of our country, Obama and Frank.  We are America, not you, Hillary, Sen. Boxer, Speaker Pelosi, Sen. Reid or the rest.  Treat your positions with respect, you will not be in power for long.  America is a republic specifically to defend private property while guarding the rights of the Obnoxious Individuals, the ultimate whipping boys for the mob rule of pure democracy.  (See Federalist Paper 10 and the siting of the tendency to factions).  The smallest minority in the world is the Obnoxious Individual, the designated scape goat of factions.  As individual Americans, any of us can be designated Obnoxious Individuals, like the AIG scape goats.

The 2010 Revolution is coming and will either cripple your power or sweep you away from your leadership positions.  You are, in the end, subject to us.  We are not your subjects, nor are we subject to your whims.

A Billion Here, A Billion There

The Strangulation Bill is not law yet, but soon will be because of Snarling Arlen and two other Rinos.  We still don't know everything in the bill, but Rush just read some of them on the radio.  Here are just a few of the jewels of idiocy.

1)  The "greening" of some federal buildings will cost 4 Billion dolllars.

2)  The cost of manufacturing engines for hybreds cars is now 2 Billion dollars.  In Great Britain last year, 135 "green cars" were sold in a nation of over 70,000,000 people.  Even after mutiplying that figure by a factor of four, just to make a rough comparison to America's population, you have a figure of far less than 600 cars.  It might have been 153.  You do the math for the taxpayers' bill to prop up such a miniscule market.

3)  Obama's ear tag, in a supposedly ear tag free bill, to his street thug former employer, ACORN, is between 4 and 5 Billion dollars.  What a pay off.

That's around 11 Billion dollars which can be trimmed immediately.  But we're not allowed to debate about this train wreck, the wreck we have to pay for with higher taxes.  The bill is just moving money around from producers to the looters and the losers they represent.  Eventually, the producers will refuse to foot the bill.  CPT was right in posting a quote from Dr. Adrian Rogers today on the Townhall.com  Blogs, which concluded by stating "You can not increase wealth by dividing it."

The Man in the Bucket & "The Age of Aquarius"

Taxing ourselves into prosperity is not new.  It's now known as Keynesian Economics and is based on the idea that goverment can spend beyond its means, pay for it by increased taxes and borrowing to stimulate the Economy.  It's been tried even during the George W. Bush administration and hasn't worked.  The Economy continued to expand for six years because of Bush's tax cuts, not by Keynes' empty theory.

Many governments through out history have tried to the same thing, even during the time of the founding of our country.  The Founding Fathers were aware of the practice and rejected it.  One of them, I believe it was John Adams, made an analogy about the idiocy.  He said, in effect, that to tax ourselves into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift it, and himself, by the handles.  Obama and his minions are trying to do the same thing now.  We need to save them from wrenching out their backs, while attempting change.

What does Obama say about his new pumped up Keynesian economic placebo?  "Only the government can lend us the short term boost to get us out of a recession this deep."  It shows the sad fact that fools never learn and end up wrenching out their backs, while never knowing why.

Professor Walter E. Williams, in his posting on 1-28-09 called "There Is No Santa" sited a colleague of his at George Mason University, Professor Richard Wagner, who wrote "Any so-called stimulus program is a ruse."  Dr. Williams then pointed out there is a direct tradeoff between increased government spending causing an equal decrease in private spending.  The proposed 4 trillion dollars in government spending will then be offset by an aqual 4 trillion dollar decrease in private spending; whether the increase is in the form of increased taxes, spending or the printing of new money.

Williams then stated "Politicians love it when the victims of their policies are invisible and beneficiaries visible.  Why?  Because the beneficiaries know for whom to vote and the victims do not know who is to blame for their plight."  How true.

He then summed up the so-called stimulus bill as a person carrying a bucket of water from the deep end of a pool, then pouring it into the other end to make the shallow end deeper.  It does not increase the volume of the pool or deepen the shallows; it just moves the water around and leads nowhere.

Now, I ask, does that make sense?  Yes, to a bucket head taking a break from lifting himself in the same bucket he now uses to carry water.  Would this act of insanity and idiocy occur to a bucket head?  No, neither would the accounting principle of liquidity, where the closer an asset is to money, the greater its liquidity (or closeness to cash).  What is more liquid than water (or cash) and more equalizing?

Dr. Williams' illusion also reminds me of something else.  The word for water carrier or bearer in Latin is Aquarius.  So is this the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, of insanity and the realization of the lies of the 60's?

We have to save Obama and company from their folly.  They look as silly standing in their buckets tugging away as FDR, Keynes, Stalin, Mao or anyone else who attempted the same ruse.  That is, when they're not carrying water for Communism.  We should celebrate the Age of Aquarius by buying liberals a bucket for each of them on their birthdays and a second one as an accessorizing bonnet for a gift for Christmas or Easter.  Even bucket heads would appreciate those hand outs, while still believing in Santy Clause.
