Why speculate on winning 50 seatrs in the House and 10 in the Senate? All 19 Democrat seats in the Senate may be in play by November. Even now, according to Morrris and Hannity, up to 150-155 seats in the House can be in play at this early date.
Why not go for broke? If we shoot for 150 seats in the House of Representatives and only win just over 120, we end up with a two thirds majority. This would be a majority we can use to overrride any Obama veto in at least one house of Congress for the rest of his administration. We can also impeach Obama at will.
If we win all 19 Senate seats and maintain control of the 40 we already possess with conservative candidates, we will have reversed the present composition of the Senate. It will not be the two thirds majority necessary for overriding vetoes or convict the President in a trial and it would not even be the 60 needed to override a potential filibuster, but it will be enough to take away the Democrats' stanglehold on the Federal government. This will put the conservative Tea Party Republicans in greater control of Congress than we enjoyed after the 1994 elections and we will have two effective bulworks against the Obama offensive until the 2012 elections. It makes it all worth the effort, as long as conservatives are in the driving seat of the Republican Party.
