Denial is not a river, but Obama is drowning in one of delusions. It's a Hitler-in-the-Bunker mentality. As everything collapses around him, Obama is blaming everyone but his own nihilistic self. He actually said in an interview today that the same desire for change that elected him to office also elected Brown to the Senate. Or was it, as far as he sees it, that the people in the Bay State were acting stupidly? It was because even the people of the Bay State have had enough of Obama and Abamacare and chucked them both into Boston Bay in their own, newly updated tea party.
What the Left didn't realize was the Bay State already had mandated, government run health care that was an abject failure and the citizens of the state didn't want another, Federal layer of the same imposed upon them. They have already seen their premiums increased, care decreased, illegal aliens sign up for the program at taxpayers' expense and the other nightmares of socialized medicine come to fruition and trump the fairy tale promises of the Media presented to the rest of America.
Many of the Democrat who voted for Brown wanted to send a message to Washington, a message missed by Obama and Pelosi, who are plunging ahead into political suicide. Even Barney Frank, as delusional a partisan as any other Statist, got the message, when his district went for Brown in the elctorial landslide and saw the light; if only dimly and in a myopic way for his own self-protection. Because Obama and Pelosi didn't reach the same conclusion on the dawn of their first year of one party rule shows they need serious therapy and a matched set of straight jackets.
At the same time, Scott Brown showed the Senate seat was the people's seat. He also said in his acceptance speech that we should spend money to stop terrorists and not lawyer them up. Such common sense is sorely lacking in the Beltway Bunker.
