Commenting on what The Truth Will Prevail has said about "A Conservative Dilemma"; I have no wish for the Economy to keep tanking. We will persevere as Americans, as the Americans persevered under FDR. The fact we are the grass roots of the
Economy allows us to react more effectively and creatively than the Federal government to changing circumstances is not surprising or a dilemma. Even under FDR, the Economy did rebound a bit by 1936 against the ongoing assault on the country and the Americans by the Federal government; but then the leading economic indicators never regained, even at that moment, to the levels they were at in 1929. After that slight recovery, the Economy than relapsed back into the ongoing Great Depression and did not rebound under FDR until after the start of WWII.
Even the economic recovery caused by the increased demands of the war were still hampered by the increased taxes and controls of the FDR administration. There is no question about our perseverance in bucking the disasters of the Federal government, but we still have the right to point out the problems of those ongoing disasters as we try to deal with and overcome them.
