The Steelers Six Pack

It was incredible, but not inevitable.  The Steelers were the favorites, but Arizona could not be taken for granted.  I watched part of the NFC Championship Game and watched Warner, with protection, make some amazing passes while destroying the Eagles hopes for the Super Bowl.  It turned out to be a closer game than most people predicted, but that's why I like the Steelers.  They don't give up, just like we haven't given up on them.  They weren't perfect, they made mistakes, but they adjusted and went on.  The defense came up with an amazing play when Harrison caught a miraculous interception, was defended by other Steelers and ran the longest play in Super Bowl history.  Then, there was the winning touchdown.

Almost as incredible was the celebration in Pittsburgh.  The cheering, the horns and the fireworks started up almost immediately, with rockets going up on the Northside and on Mt. Washington.  Why, they only turned over one car, again, in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh.  I wonder if it was the same one overturned in Oakland in 2006 after Super Bowl XL.  We're even going to have another parade tomorrow in downtown Pittsburgh.  Last time, a quarter of a million people showed up, and except for a couple of idiots, it was pretty orderly.  That's why you stick with what works, like the Steelers, America and the Constitution, not the fools in Washington.

I am, however, thinking about applying for a position in the Obama administration.  I just need to cheat on my taxes for a couple of years and change parties so the Press will cover for me by saying I'm sloppy.  Tempting, tempting.  No, I'd rather keep going toe-to-toe with misinformed public opinion.  It's much more gratifying.

P.S. Thanks for the comments.  Go Steelers!
