Just when I was in a good mood in Pittsburgh, PA Gov. Grendel shows up on the radio to talk about the Steelers and ticks me off. I just heard him say Pittsburgh is in good shape and has weathered the economic storm. Well, Grendel, that may be because Pittsburgh, like Garp's house in the movie "The World According to Garp" has already been pre-disastered by having an economic disaster, like the airplane plowing into Garp's prospective home. What's the possibility of that happening again? In Pittsburgh's case, the disaster is an ongoing political and economic disaster decades in the making. What has Grendel done to relieve the problem? Nothing. He was much better at trying to steal the presidential election of 2000 in Florida. He failed at both, the one in Pennsylvania to our detriment, the one in Florida to our benefit.
